| Each student and staff member has been given a Windows Workstation Login Accounts. Depending upon your identity and security clearance, your Windows account gives you access to all the workstations in St. Mary's, and your own personal U: drive, student / staff public drives as well. | |
Since the computing services are provided by various platforms, systems as well as service providers, the passwords cannot be unified among different accounts set up on different system even though your user names / login IDs may be the same across different platforms, such as email and eclass. Thus, you are strongly advised to use the same password, if possible, across all platforms and remember to change your passwords for all platforms / systems in a consistent manner. As a rule of thumb, the Login ID / User Name of a student is the Student ID / Admission No. printed on the Student Card, although the passwords of various systems and platforms may not be the same. |
