With no doubt, the great earthquake in Sichuan has been a heart-breaking catastrophe to all Chinese. Yet, through this period of tremendous sadness, we can realize the loving, caring and unselfish side of our community. Our teachers, staff and St. Marians have raised a total sum of $89,608.60 to the victims in Sichuan. All proceeds has been donated to Caritas - Hong Kong (香港明愛).

Thank you once again for your generosity! Besides, the coloured paper slips with your blessings have been handed in to Liaison Office of The Central People's Government in The HKSAR (中聯辦). They will help us to bring them to the victims in Sichuan. Let's continue to pray for them and may the sun shine upon Sichuan as soon as possible.

The Students and Teachers Funweek is an annual activity with the aim of letting students and teachers have fun together outside the classroom. Various games were arranged for different forms to create a strong bonding as well as a harmonious atmosphere within each class.

Hereby, the Student Council would like to say a hearty thank you to all the teacher companions for sacrificing their lunch time to play with us and all the students who participated enthusiastically. While your smiles shone under the bright sun, you made the funweek a warm and enjoyable one!

Can you express how you feel after watching your favourite English movie? 你們覺得學習國語對你們未來有幫助嗎?
Do you find these questions challenging when you have to verbalize your opinion and express it in ENG or PTH fluently?

In the light of the importance of ENG and PTH in international scene, the Student Council has been holding a series of language tasks to encourage students to practice the two languages more in a daily-life basis. Let’s see how the tasks go!

"Mr Lam what does this word mean?" Have you ever thought of asking teachers question which is not really academic-oriented? Apart from the language tasks, the Student Council has organized a talk show(Eng section) on the 9th of April, for students and teachers to chat casually and share their views! It gets students to learn english in an interactive and interesting way! More importantly, see how the distance between teachers and students is shortened!
