Community Service Scheme 2011-12
Preamble
Following the footsteps of our foundress, St. Magdalene, all students in
St. Mary's are expected to take part enthusiastically in community service scheme.
Upon successful completion of the schools' requirements of community service,
students' participation will be recorded in the testimonials under the Award Section, such as Community Service Scheme 2011-12.
Requirements
The requirements of community service for each form for 2011-12 are as follows:

Services done at school (Swimming Gala, Parents' Day, Drama Week etc.,) will not be considered as community service.
The minimum duration of training/services done is 40 minutes.
Services done after submission date will be considered for the next academic year.
Verifications
Students need to get the stamp of the organization or signature of the person in charge of the service, as a proof of participation, within 2 weeks after service.
Students need to submit the logbooks / service record sheets to the class teachers for verification before the deadline stated above. Late submission will not be entertained.
Special Recognition
Gold awards will be conferred to students at the end of each academic year for active participation in community service in that academic year. However, services done after last year submission date (from May 2011 in case of F.2- F.7) will be considered for the current academic year. Gold awardees will be appreciated for their service with certificates.
